Posture is not aesthetic, it is essential
Good posture is not about standing up straight by force. It is what happens naturally when the spine moves well and the nervous system has an accurate picture of where the body is. Forward head, rounded shoulders and a slumped mid-back are the signs of a spine that has adapted to screens and chairs. We measure posture with digital analysis at your first visit, restore movement with specific adjustments, and re-measure so you can see the change.

Signs your posture is costing you
- Your head sits in front of your shoulders in photos
- Neck and upper-back tension by mid-afternoon
- Rounded shoulders and a tight chest
- Fatigue from just sitting or standing
- Headaches after screen time
- A teenager who is already slumping
Why "sit up straight" does not work
Every centimetre the head moves forward adds load to the neck and wastes energy just holding you up. Telling yourself to sit straight lasts a few minutes because posture is not a decision; it is the output of your nervous system's map of your body. When segments of the spine stop moving properly, that map is inaccurate and the body settles into the slump.
Chiropractic care works on the input: restoring movement to the restricted segments so the brain receives accurate information and the body can hold itself with less effort. Case-report research on structural correction has reported measurable improvements in forward head posture with consistent care.
What care looks like
Digital posture analysis and INSiGHT scans at the first visit, specific adjustments over a plan of care, practical setup advice for desk, laptop and phone, and posture re-checks every few months. Athletes and dancers use the same approach for performance.
We do not diagnose or treat diseases. We assess the spine and nervous system, adjust where we find restriction, and refer you to the right specialist whenever something needs another set of eyes.

Frequently asked questions
Can chiropractic fix posture?
It can improve it meaningfully, especially forward head posture, by restoring movement to the spine so the body holds itself with less effort. The re-measured posture photos are part of your progress checks.
How long does posture take to change?
People often feel taller after the first visits; measurable change on posture photos usually takes a few months of consistent care plus better habits at your desk.
Do you help children and teenagers with posture?
Yes. Screens and heavy bags start the pattern early, and it is far easier to correct in a growing spine.
